Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for your interest in my profile. I will try to describe myself as precisely as I can, but I am always eager and ready to answer all of Your additional questions:) I am communicative and active person. I adore sports and active way of time spending. I love art and adore literature, that is why from every trip I always bring books. I am married ad currently live and work in Poland, at the present moment me and my husband are planning to move abroad, that is why I am looking for a permanent job with the stable income. I am fond of sports and can’t imagine my life without exercising. My husband is a big motivation for me, cause he is very fit and strong :) I adore kids and pets (in my case - especially dogs!), learning languages and gaining new experience. I am almost 34. I speak fluent Polish, Russian, Ukrainian and English. My level of Slovak language is rather B1 , French - A2, German language - A1. I am quite keen in learning new languages. I've worked for 2 years at primary and secondary school, and still have tutorships with kids and adults, I was supervising the kids groups in the summer camps (Ukraine) and during EURO 2012 - Coca-Cola Flag Team program - Poland, Warsaw 2012. I've spent more than 4 years as an au-pair in Slovakia(Bratislava) taking care of two little girls (they were 2 months and 5 years old when I've joined the family). That was my first experience working as a nanny and it can be described only in superlatives. That was the best family and the most wonderful time I've spent abroad. I am good at administrative job, currently I am working as a Junior Specialist in Management and Development Office. I have Polish citizenship. My husband’s Ukrainian. He doesn’t need visa or work permit to travel to another EU country as a spouse of EU citizen. In our opinion family should always stick together, that is why, we want to move to another country only together, cause we can’t imagine we are somehow separated by distance, thus, ideal solution for us will be to find an employer who accepts couples and will be able to help us with finding an accomodation. Routledge Introductions to Applied Linguistics is a series of introductory level textbooks covering the core topics in Applied Linguistics, primarily designed for those beginning postgraduate studies, or taking an introductory MA course as well as advanced undergraduates. Titles in the series are also ideal for language professionals returning to academic study. The books take an innovative 'practice to theory' approach, with a 'back-to-front' structure. This leads the reader from real-world problems and issues, through a discussion of intervention and how to engage with these concerns, before finally relating these practical issues to theoretical foundations. Additional features include tasks with commentaries, a glossary of key terms, and an annotated further reading section. In this book Philip Seargeant surveys varieties of English existing within the world today, and the debates and controversies surrounding its present forms, functions and status in diverse world contexts. It examines how English has evolved to become a 'global language' and looks at the political and cultural history that has influenced this evolution. Beginning with a discussion of real-life challenges relating to world Englishes that are faced by language professionals - particularly in the contexts of language education and language planning - the book explores and illustrates the ways in which the actual use and management of English, as well as the beliefs and ideologies associated with it, play an increasingly important role in contemporary globalized society.

The Republic is perhaps the single most important, the most studied and the most quoted text of all of Plato's Socratic Dialogues. Through the medium of Socrates, Plato outlines his view and ideas concerning the ideal working of the city-state. Socrates narrates a conversation that took place the previous day with Cephalus, Glaucon, Thrasymachus and others. The dialogue is organised into 10 books and covers a broad range of topics, including the ideal community, the ideal rulers of the community - philosophers and the philosopher king - and various forms of government, including timocracy, oligarchy, democracy and tyranny. Part of the Ukemi recording of the complete Socratic Dialogues by Plato, it uses the classic translation by Benjamin Jowett and is read with authority by David Rintoul. 1. Language: English. By combining the ancient mysteries of Sappho with the contemporary wizardry of one of our most fearless and original poets, If Not, Winter provides a tantalizing window onto the genius of a woman whose lyric power spans millennia. Of the nine books of lyrics the ancient Greek poet Sappho is said to have composed, only one poem has survived complete. The rest are fragments. In this miraculous new translation, acclaimed poet and classicist Anne Carson presents all of Sappho's fragments, in Greek and in English, as if on the ragged scraps of papyrus that preserve them, inviting a thrill of discovery and conjecture that can be described only as electric-or, to use Sappho's words, as "thin fire . . . racing under skin." "Sappho's verse has been elevated to new heights in [this] gorgeous translation." --The New York Times "Carson is in many ways [Sappho's] ideal translator....Her command of language is hones to a perfect edge and her approach to the text, respectful yet imaginative, results in verse that lets Sappho shine forth." --Los Angeles Times

For those looking for "a taste of Plato", this audiobook is ideal. It includes the full text of "Apology" and "Crito", as well as the first two books of Plato's monumental Republic. Most of what we know about Socrates comes from Plato, his most famous student. Plato called Socrates "the best of all men I have ever known". "The Apology" is Plato's version of the speech given by Socrates as he defends himself against the charges of being a man "who corrupted the young, did not believe in the gods, and created new deities". "Apology" here has its earlier meaning of a formal defense of a cause or of one's beliefs or actions. "Crito" is a short but important dialogue that relates a conversation between Socrates and his wealthy friend, Crito, regarding justice, injustice, and the appropriate response to injustice. Plato described his idea of an ideal society in his most famous work, the Republic. In the first two books, Socrates sets out to define justice and the most just way of governing. 1.
